Night photography
Since photographs require the presence of light and lack of it makes taking photographs very tough, taking night photographs is still an unexplored field for many. With a good camera and lens, some basic skills, and a bit of imagination, you can produce startling, eye-catching, images. |

The role of light
The literal translation of the word photography is "painting with light" no light = no photograph it's as simple as that. Whether we supply the light with a strobe or a constant light source or we use available light it must be there in some form. Remember the photographer's adage, 'if you can see it, you can photograph it.' |

Shutter and shutter speed
The shutter is a moveable cover in front of the lens that helps you control the amount of sunlight that’s allowed into the lens. The shutter blocks the passage of light travelling through the lens to the film when it is closed, and allows light to reach the film when it is open. Shutters may be composed of blades, a curtain, a plate or a movable cover. |
